WOW what a fantastic result! Proud of our team at safesportsfloor.com

Commissioned by the National Property Agency, we carried out the renovation of the linoleum sports floor at the General Major de Ruyter van Steveninck Barracks in Oirschot.

That 40-plus-year-old linoleum sports floor in the Army barracks had been through a lot. Years of intensive use had taken their toll. The scuffs, traces of wear and once clear lines testified to countless training sessions, fast sprints and sharp turns. An athletic floor on which men and women had marched and trained for countless missions.

With this project we really show, that we can extend the life of a linoleum sports floor.

After installing a sample to assess the quality and color, we were able to get to work. First, we thoroughly cleaned and sanded the floor, and then began repairing areas of damage. After repairing the damage, it was time to apply a coating and apply a logo for the first time. Instead of a transparent coating, a color coating was applied with a large logo in the center circle. By using a color coating, the repaired damages were hidden from view. Finally, we protected everything with a coat of clear sports lacquer to meet sports standards. It also prevents dirt and cleaning agents from attacking the natural elements of the linoleum.
