Recurring slipperiness on the sports floor
We recently visited a top sports hall because of complaints about recurring slipperiness. The sports floor was a water-based floor. Due to an accumulation of layer upon layer, the pores of the floor were filling up. The result was a slippery surface. Unpleasant and, above all, dangerous for the athletes. A problem, which a normal scrubbing could not solve. Something had to be done here. In search of the problem, we took an inventory of the work closet and equipment.
The problem was in the work closet!
We discovered a cleaner with special additives consisting of polymers. These so-called anti-slip agents leave a film of tiny particles on the surface, making it temporarily slippery. But it attracts dirt again.
An accumulation of layers of dirt, grease and polymers causes an unsafe, slippery and saturated floor with risk of injuries and slips. Chemical cleaners with so-called anti-slip agents or polymers are absolutely inadvisable on any type of sports floor.
After revitalization, we recommended a cleaning agent without this additive, because the sports floor by itself has sports properties that ensure its skid resistance.
Proper sports floor maintenance with the right tools such as pads, detergent and equipment, is the solution for a safe sports floor.
This prevents injuries, contributes to game enjoyment and extends the life of the sports floor.
The composition of our cleaners prevents stratification and saturation.
We would be happy to visit you sometime to make an inventory of the work cabinet and equipment together.
