Consider

Dear sports hall administrator, facility manager and municipal official, think with me for a moment. I don’t get it: much-needed corona measures, incredible budgets for entrepreneurs to keep their heads above water, but relatively few policies for preventive health of working people. How can we tackle this together NOW?

Thanks to financial support, the economy can grow as usual this year: the expected of growth 2021 is almost 3% (CPB forecast on Jan. 1, 2021).

But how can we now link to the vitality of the workforce and the growing economy. How is the work force in it mentally now that we have not been allowed to play sports indoors, team or otherwise, for months. We all know, probably also from our own experience, that exercising employees are more productive in the workplace anyway and are physically and mentally more comfortable in their own skin. Research shows that using (company) sports plays a major role in this: it leads to improvement in general health, reduction of absenteeism (and thus costs!) and increase in productivity.

My question now is: what are we waiting for? How do we join hands to check all sports facilities in the Netherlands as soon as possible for (Corona) safety, in terms of maintenance and hygiene of the floors, materials and ventilation? So that you, sports hall manager or facility manager, can, preferably today, safely open the doors to the vital employee. In my opinion, this should be our (collective) contribution to keeping the economy fit. All good ideas are welcome! Call or email me andre@veiligesportvloer.nl.
