Cleaning pads for scrubber dryer
Especially for cleaning sports floors
Which one do you use for the sports floor?
We frequently come across sports facilities around the country where the scrubber has brushes instead of pads. This is not convenient. A brush mainly slides the dirt back and forth, while a pad picks up and disposes of the dirt. Only on rough floors with a lot of relief can a brush offer a solution, such as in locker rooms with tile floors.
With sports floors, always use a pad and not a brush.
How do you prevent wear and damage to the sports floor when using pads?
The color of the pad indicates how hard or soft it is. The lighter the color, the softer the pad. A softer machine pad causes less wear on the top coat.
It is a waste of time if after polishing the floor, dirt, streaks and smudges are still visible
are. Sand, in particular, is a problem. Sand acts as an abrasive and causes damage to the sports floor. It affects the top layer and shortens the life of the floor.
Therefore, we recommend the following:
Dust wipe first before scrubbing the floor.
Check scrubber cleaning pads. Look for dirt, dust, grease, sand or soap residue. Replace pads on time. Worn or dirty pads cause streaking and can damage the floor.
And another tip: lightly dampen a scrub pad before use and grind a new pad on a stone surface before use. This will prevent scuff circles and damage to the sports floor.
Which pad to use?
When cleaning sports floors, we mainly use red and green polishing pads.
The lighter the color, the softer the pad.
Red pad: soft in texture. Suitable for daily or weekly maintenance.
Green pad: firmer in texture. Suitable for monthly cleaning.
PU PVC and Linoleum sports floor cleaning
For cleaning a PU sports floor, we recommend the following:
Weekly maintenance
- Use a red pad.
Monthly maintenance
- Use a green pad.
Cleaning wooden sports floor
A wooden sports floor requires a cautious approach.
- For weekly maintenance, use a red pad.
- Depending on contamination, clean periodically, about 2 to 6 times a year, with a green pad.
Always scrub a wood floor with a small amount of water. Too much water can cause damage, such as swelling or loosening of the coating.
With the right pad, the right remedy and little water, the sports floor stays beautiful and safe longer.
