On Thursday, June 4, we would like to take you to various locations in Amsterdam.

A unique insight into sports and games offerings

This day we will visit a sports complex in Amsterdam-Zuid, near the Olympic Stadium, namely the Frans Otten Stadium. This is not a soccer stadium as the name might suggest, but one of the few places in the Netherlands where a lot of racket sports come together. Justin Goetzee, director of Padel Connect will take you through the rise and future of padel sports.

Also on the program is the Amsterdam indoor cycling track Velodrom. A wooden track in the shape of an oval with origins dating back to 1972, where national and international races are held. The center court is set up as a basketball court.

A national example with a clear vision and good approach

Dennis Gebbink tells his story about the creation of a unique sports complex, Sportclub Only Friends. What started as a small soccer club has grown into a sports center with 900+ members. This sports complex is a national example with a clear vision and good approach, creating a place where children with disabilities can play sports and participate fully in society.

The basis for municipal policy

Bjorn Schadenberg is senior researcher at Mulier Institute, the leading knowledge party in the Netherlands in the field of sports policy and sports facilities. He will give a presentation on the research into occupancy, capacity and rates, the basis for municipal policy.

We invite all relations of Safe Sports Flooring who are involved in designing, managing and facilitating sports halls and floors, such as municipalities, educational institutions and developers.

For transportation between locations, we will arrange appropriate transportation. Also, we provide lunch.
